SS Headphones not up to the quality that the rest of their products are?

I have the Apex 350 and it's awesome. Couldn't be happier with it. It seems people enjoy Steel Series products very much, and I was in the market for some headphones, and decided to look at some SS ones. I did some research and apparently their headphones just aren't up to par compared to keyboards/mice... What do y'all think of this? Should I buy one of their headphones or go someplace else? If so, where should I buy from?
