Can't Get Office 2016 Installed on my 2015 MBP

Ok, so more or less the title: I can't get Office 2016 to install on my 2015 (so less than 6 months old) Macbook Pro, running El Capitan. I've got an office 365 subscription, and when I click the Install button from my account page, the cogs whirl, but nothing ever actually downloads, and Chrome then tells me that the web page is unavailable :( If anyone has a workaround, i'd be eternally grateful
