Do I need to clean my coils?

I have a Kanger Subvod. It's got a 0.5 ohm SSOCC coil. I think the coil is Nichrome. I currently have four different ejuices. When I want to use a new one do I need to clean the coil? Can it be run under water? I don't really want the flavors mixing.
