Seattle to San Francisco - (Portland, Crater Lake, US1, Redwoods, Wine(Napa/Sonoma)?)

Going on my first west coast trip in August/September time frame, possibly w a buddy. Would welcome any tips/advice on my current plans.

Will be visiting Seattle and then drive to SF over about a week by rental car and stay in hotels.

Current plans have Seattle 2 days (Fri-Sat), drive to Portland for 2 days (Sun-Mon), spend Tuesday driving to Crater Lake (half day) and then to CA Redwoods, hotel/motel stop, Wednesday drive to Wine Country for wine tours?, hotel/motel stop, and Thursday/Friday in SF before leaving on Saturday.

Would anyone recommend any other stops in between Seattle and San Francisco? Granted, 2 day drive to SF from Portland isn't much time, but I'm hoping to squeeze in at least 1-2 stops each day.
