Flying with tools in the carry-on

I tend to keep a small tool set in my camera bag for any random tightening/adjustments that need to be made to my L-bracket, ballhead and tripod...just a 1/4" ratchet, T25 Torx and a couple sockets. Now that I've TSA-proofed my rocket blower, has anyone run into issues with small photographic tools like this in a carry-on? From what I've read, as long as it's under 7" in total, they're permitted - the ratchet is under 5".
