Hoboken to Manhattan

Hey NYers, in Manhattan for work until October and wanted to keep my housing allowance rather than stay in a hotel. I found a nice and affordable apartment in Hoboken. My question is tgat I'm absolutely clueless with Jersey. Never even gone there in my 2 months here. I've mostly stuck to Manhattan Roth the occasional foray into Brooklyn and queens.

Any of you familiar with what trains to take from Hoboken to lower Manhattan, specifically near the Chelsea market? If living in Jersey should I just ship my car from LA and commute into Manhattan?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
