[NYC]Soul Singer Need Talented Pianist for NYC City-Wide Candelight Vigil and Possibly Other Co-Writing Work
I'm a R&B/soul singer based in Downtown NYC looking for a talented pianist who has a strong ear for chord writing, and a knowledge/interest in playing gospel/soul/jazz music. I have been asked to perform at annual city-wide candlelight vigil for survivors of violence, held at the West End Church in April. This event is really special to me, and I am looking for someone who can accompany me on piano to deliver a moving performance of Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come". I might try and get some string players as well, but a pianist is the biggest need right now.
This gig is for the performance of one song only and will not require a large time commitment from you. The event will be on Sunday morning, April 10th, 2015 on the Upper West Side, with a rehearsal on Thursday, April 7th.
I also am working on a soul/r&b EP and I'm looking to connect with a talented pianist/chord writer who can help me and my producer write some more material for this project. You can check out my music at https://soundcloud.com/raveenaloves/ to get a sense of my sound.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
PS: NYC-based Musicians only.
