[Discussion]Being able to support children=BAD Third-World children=Good

DISCUSSION

Sister in-law and her friend were talking about the Duggar family. You know, that stupid family with 19 kids. They both go on to agree how terribly irresponsible it is to have that many. (Ironically, both of them come from Irish Catholic families.) Although I hate kids, if you're fully able to support each and every of the 19 of them, sure, have as many as you want. I mention to them, something to the effect of children in third-world countries who will never have the luxury of those 19 kids and how that THEIR parents are the terribly irresponsible ones for bringing them into this world considering their land is struck with famine, disease, wars, poverty, abuse, child labor, harsh climates and the inevitable dooming caste system. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its unquestionably easy to put aside procreation and/or unprotected sex knowing your childs certain future.

Apparently I wasted my time trying to rationalize with either of them. Because, "Everyone should have a shot at parenthood."
