Xbox One via Laptop (Without any TV)?

Hey guys, I am saving money to buy a Xbox One/PS4. The only issue is that I live in a really small flat and I don't have space to put a TV or any kind of screen apart from my laptop. I've made a fast research and I discover that is really easy is to connect the xbox to Windows 10. My only question is if it is possible to connect WITHOUT any kind of screen? I can borrow a TV just to make the first setup but do you guys know if I will have any issue later (like not allowing me to stream during updates or stuff like that)? Am I safe doing that or should I try anything else?
