am i being overly sensitive?

I need some quick advice from this group. My wife and I are visiting her 27 year old daughter in Colorado tomorrow. I bought the airline tickets as my wife's birthday present a couple month ago because I know she misses her and only sees her a couple times a year. This would be the first time I would be making the trip there. While packing today my wife mentioned that she wants to have a shopping trip for the two of them while i keep myself busy on my own so they could have some alone time. I initially said nothing but later told my wife this bothered me as being kind of rude. ( we had a big argument in the past where she asked me to immediately telling her when something bothered me instead of keeping quite and stewing ). She got very angry, saying i was being selfish, should be the bigger person, and that i now ruined the trip. I said that if the roles were reversed she would be upset as well. ( I have never not invited her to be with me with any interactions with my adult children). I later said I was sorry for even bringing it up but she is still angry, saying that she wants me to bring things to her attention if something bothers me but i shouldn't do it in a way that is hurtful. I now really feel like I don't want to go but the plans are made. I have to point out that on the occasions when my stepdaughter visits us with her boyfriends (there have been several who stayed with us), I doubt if they ever made any plans that did not include the visiting person so they could have their alone time. Someone please give me some third party perspective...
