Talruun woke to the pleasant sound of birds chirping and an ax splitting a log. His wife lay next to him, breathing softly. He got up and dressed for the day.

He went to check on his wounded son, Brandon, who was still asleep. "That boy." Talruun said, letting out a sigh. Walking downstairs, Maester Jojen greeted him with a smile.

Talruun had finally gotten used to his responsibilities as Lord of Ironrath. He had even gotten a letter from the Starks earlier.

When he was walking down one of the halls, he noticed a man behind him. One he hadn't seen before but was dressed with the Perritt Sigil.

The man drew his dagger and went in for an attack. Talruun drew his sword.
