A Model for Building a Freeletics Community
Hi, I am an American living in Seoul, South Korea. When I moved here (one month ago), I was already doing Freeletics in the states, and joined the Facebook Seoul group. The Seoul group on Facebook was about 11 months old with about 150+ members...AND ABSOLUTELY DEAD. There were zero members actually meeting. Zero. And a post only 1-2 times a month usually. Within one month of me being here, with the help of my Korean girlfriend, we now have 6 members meeting at my local park once a week! We are in the south of the city. We also established contacts with a Free Athlete in the north of the city. So far he is still training alone, but we hope to build a community around his area in the future as well. Anyways, as you can see, we're off to a good start, but we are still nowhere near the community of Munich or Paris! These two cities also started off with just a few members, from what I heard, right?
So here comes my real question. I think we should use the success of these two cities as a model (especially Munich). I want to learn as much as I can about the story of these two cities and how their community grew. What contributed to their success? I think the more we can learn about what works and what is effective, the more we can apply it to our own cities. We can create a standard model that can hopefully apply to any area.
So after discussing the stories of Munich and Paris, and deciding what worked and was effective, let's together discuss a model for building a Freeletics community!
