Newly converted vegetarian

Newbie Advice

Hi Everyone!

I watched what I could of the documentary ''Earthlings'' that was posted and the next morning I couldn't bring myself to put milk in my coffee. I think I'm now done with animal products for good.

Prior to that I have been meat free for nearly 4 years, and I really did think I was doing my part, and in a sense I know it's already a big step in the right direction. But I could not imagine how different a vegetarian and a vegan diet would be. I really believed I was not eating much eggs or dairy products and that I was practically speaking almost vegan. I also thought that going from vegetarian to vegan was going to be so easy compared to going from omni to vegetarian but in reality I am struggling bit this week end.

I don't know why I felt like posting this, but since I don't know any vegan IRL I thought I'd announce my decision to people who could be happy for me instead of worried about my protein intake.

The lack of cheese and milk chocolate is looking a little sad right now but I know with time this idea will dissipate, and I'm super excited to discover new recipes and stuff my face with all the veggies.
