Glass shards in my bud??

Ok so this is some weird shit. My buddy just picked up an eighth but there's tiny glass shards mixed in with some of the shake at the bottom of the sack. There's not a ton of these shards but after some research we found the following: 50% of people say this shit will fuck you up things like silicosis are brought up and small burned holes in our lungs and the other 50% say nah you'll be good. Now we're not the type of people to risk our lives for a 50 sack but if it's okay to smoke... Obviously we're going to take advantage of that sack haha anyone know any useful and sourced medical information on this topic? Just trying to be safe. It should be noted that we don't have any water pieces we just wanted to roll up another blunt. Thanks fellas!
