How would this spell work in 5e?

In pathfinder there is a spell I liked to use called ride the lightning: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateMagic/spells/rideTheLightning.html

Could any experienced DM tell me what they would do to turn it into a 5th edition spell?
