5e-Advice on party synergy?

So I'm gonna be playing a new game soon, and I have never been a player just a DM. So I was wondering if I could get some advice on which class I should be for our party to work the best together. The party consists of a dragonborn paladin and a half-orc warlock. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
