Compatibly of TNF Shells and ThermoBalls

Recently I purchased a lower-end TNF jacket (Mens Carto Tri-climate) after I put a twig through my old one and ripping through both layers. I was wondering, if I am able to buy another shell layer for it, but different color. Are all shells compatible?
