Any clue how audio mirroring for spectators might work?

I know that the unwarped visuals will be displayed on the monitor but is there any info on how the audio might be handled for spectators? I imagine that audio piped to 2.0 or 5.1 main speakers would disrupt the soundstage of the HMD user, be it spatialized or converted/'flattened' in some way for traditional setups; on the other hand, we've seen how important and effective a tool it is to have a well rounded and functional spectator experience, and that experience to me feels unfinished when watching in silence with no audio context.
