What to do with Friend Point Summons

I'm just about to hit my 200th Login day tonight on Global, and I've never done a Friend Summon. Needless to say, I have a countless number of Friend Points saved. I was wondering, are the Friend Summons better in the Japanese version? I didn't know if I should continue to save for some special event, or if I should just use a bunch of summons now for Baba Shop Points (if the characters give good points) and training partners.
