After Action Report.

Time: Approx 1700 GMT

Location: Undisclosed crossroads in the DZ, NYC.

Personnel involved:

Friendlies: 2 Agents from the UK element.

Potential Hostiles: 5 Unknown Agents

Sir,

At the time and date stated, the following incident happened whilst conducting a routine patrol in the lower regions of the DZ.

Whilst clearing the area of hostile forces, mainly armed rioters and looters, myself (known from hereon out as Agent Alpha) and my partner (Agent Bravo) came into close proximity with and unknown Agent. Despite communication problems with the aforementioned Agent, he closed with and assisted my partner and I in engaging the enemy. It was at this time that this agent took an excessive amount of fire onto their position. Whilst suppressing the enemy forces in an attempt to draw their fire away from the injured Agent, a stray grenade from our patrol inflicted fatal injuries upon our unnamed ally, resulting in an instantaneous death.

We fought through the enemy position and cleared the area of all further hostiles, despite now being tarnished with the rogue status.

My partner and I extracted from the immediate area, and along our route we encounter another pair of Agents on patrol.

Again it seemed that there were communication problems, however the Agents in the street did not immediately fire upon our patrol. My partner and I put this down to them taking note of our higher DZ level, and not wanting to engage with a potential hostile with potentially superior firepower.

Whilst all for of us were involved in this "Mexican Standoff", a further three unknown Agents closed with us from a flank.

These Agents seemed to be in communication with the first two, as they managed to coordinate the following manoeuvres.

The five agents began to spread around our position, fully encompassing us. Myself and Agent Bravo were positioned literally back to on a crossroads with five assault rifle pointing directly at us. We were surrounded, yet not a shot was fired from any weapon.

Sensing the tension in the situation, Agent Bravo and I decided we should show ourselves as non aggressive as possible, so we simultaneously raised up our arms in a "surrender" posture.

To our surprise, the Agents all just stood there, carefully watching our every movement until the timer ran to 0 and we we cleared of rogue status. We stood their with our arms raised to the sky as they slowly regrouped in one location. A couple of them threw up a salute, which we reciprocated, in recognition of the events that just unfolded. Agent Bravo and I just stood there and observed until we saw the last of them round a corner and disappear into the DZ.
