Low ping lag spikes

I understand that this could be caused by any number of issues, but with the introduction of season 2 I've had constant lag spikes (10+ times a game) and I know I'm not the only one. Rocket league is completely unplayable in this state. Can any devs shed a bit of light on what this may be and/or if it's being looked into? Also if anybody has figured out a remedy to this issue, that would be pretty rad as well.
