I just like playing D3 solo, and usually while listening to a podcast or something similar. What would be the best/most efficient XYZ for doing this?

Now, I've gotten a hero of all classes up to 70 at this point, and I'm just working on gradually getting better and better gear and such so I can work my way through the levels. What I'm wondering is, are there class/build combos that are best, or better suited for this kind of thing? I figure once I have that decided, I can look up the best gear sets for those kinds to look for or craft. Currently, my favorite heroes are the crusader and the wizard (out of personal preference and how satisfying kills are with those two) and I hadn't really had any build in mind for them, which I suppose is something I should have looked up, but I always forget to plan these things on Blizz games.
