General White Snus from Canada = 14mg Nicotine?

I was given a pack of Snus from Canada:

• 24 portions.
• 1 gram each.
• Nicotine is listed as 14mg. Not sure if that is per pouch or the whole container. If it's per pouch that is just plain insane.

I gave it a quick go and it feels WAY too strong. Apparently this is common: http://www.drsnus.com/general-snus-canada/. How on earth do Canadians handle that much Nicotine?
