Fixing yourself.......yourself! Why there is nothing to fix.
My apologies...I reposted this today as the same post earlier was titled incorrectly.....thank you
Someone emailed me the question..."why do you post all this nonsense"? A fair question. My response was...why not? I have no motivation other than entertainment, and the enjoyment of seeing others perspectives. I don't fundamentally believe it is of any value to anyone really, though that distinction is not mine to make I suppose.
If a person gets lucky enough to stumble into a perspective which erases all questions of "purpose", meaning of life, who or what I am, and creates an experience of living that appears free from any undesirable emotional state, why not throw it out there? I don't have any need for goals, acquiring this or that, becoming "great", or attaining something which will make me feel equal to others. I already am. What's to strive for?
Saying these things, also is not at all representative of some "enlightened state" or the possession of some "secret special" insight, which others do not have. This idea promoted by "teachers" of mankind, is simply nonsense as far as I'm concerned. The idea I'm different than anyone in any way, never arises. I don't see "others" around me, I see simply varying versions...of MYSELF.
The only questions I have are basic....food, shelter, clothing, etc. Oh, and playing poker lol. Ya mean someone who's actions and experience of living is not influenced at all by the demands and expectations of culture...gambles? And wants money? What else is there but money?
If I have no need to validate my existence to anyone for any reason, what does that leave but basic essentials? And what do I need to obtain those? MONEY! "Spiritual" teachers have advocated for centuries, freeing oneself from "desires", especially money. Desire fundamentally, is the expression of life. Why would I want to be free of desire? If you become free of desire...you will be a corpse I assure you. What they are saying is really this..."I want to be free from the desire to need validation from others, and from the constant and frustrating demand, to find a solution which will eradicate this problem".
In posting here there is no motivation really, other than since I simply live day to day with no plan or goals at all, it gives me something interesting to do. I just simply exist, and watch the entertainment and comedy of life unfold around me. What is unfortunate for most, is the brain washing that religious, spiritual, or teachers of psychology have promoted for centuries. This is the idea that frustration, anxiety, regret etc, are "facts of life". That depression, sadness, or "feelings of inferiority", cannot be eradicated completely, but only managed. I'm saying this is absolute nonsense. They can say what they want.
For years I followed all their special insight. It never helped me. And in the way our individual lives, culture, and progressive path towards our extinction seems to be heading, what validity is there in all these "great" teachers we have, and have had? You can be without the need for acceptance, approval, or validation from anyone at all. Of that I am certain! This does not mean one becomes isolated from society, has contempt for it, or feels the need to change or destroy the value system upon which it is all founded on. Quite the contrary.
Only when struggling to fit into this culturally created value system, is there potential for me to harm or cause distress to anything at all. Causing needless distress is rooted fundamentally, in the feelings of inadequacy one has been conditioned to believe represent themselves, and the demand to "fix" this problem, and ourselves.. With no adherence or need for any value system at all, I will never be compelled to harm anything, except for survival necessity. It is a difficult idea to grasp I realize. It is not something one can do or "make happen". It is the demand to free yourself from ANYTHING, and the methods you practice to force this to occurr, which are responsible for misery.
I have not shared the challenges that have brought me to this point, as essentially they are irrelevant, as is EVERYONES past. The past, as psychologists believe is so necessary to delve into and examine, is false! They can say what they like. Our pasts have absolutely nothing to do with experiencing yourself, and your living in a pleasant way, IRREGARDLESS of the challenges life throws at us.
Teachers of mankind can point out the "flaws" in what I'm saying. I have no conflict with them at all, only the ideas they themselves have been conditioned to take as valid. Psychologists are victims of their own cultural conditioning as well. So they can say what they like......what has occurred with myself and what living is like NOW....is irrefutable, and remains untouched today. So if it is possible for me.....IT MUST BE POSSIBLE FOR YOU, as we are the same.. Good Luck out there...
