After using mindfulness to help me recover from anxiety/depression, I can't help but feel like I'm cheating.
I've been feeling much better since learning mindfulness and not reacting to my thoughts and letting them sit there in my head. I can literally feel my mind craving to get into those thoughts and try to solve them, but I just let them be. I watch my mind trying to do what it's "been trained to do."
but i can't shake this feeling that i'm cheating. let's say i'm waiting back for a job. and I get a thought "if i don't get this job, holy hell i'm going to be sad." and i learn to just be with that thought and not react to it. but deep down i do want to get the job, you get what i'm saying? so i feel like i'm cheating by not going into that thought.
