BenQ can't detect DP, after being turned off by me, even though the PC is running just as I left it?

Really confusing me, I've had to use my initiative and do windows press right and enter to turn my pc off, then start it again..

Works fine then..

Also it's ok if the monitor goes to sleep as opposed to me turning it off.
