Myself and u/EricD516 have been working on this program on and off for the last 6 or 7 years. The idea started in college while playing Smash 64 with friends and we started getting tired of all playing the same characters over and over again. It literally began by writing character names on pieces of paper and pulling them out of a hat. Over time our randomizing methods have evolved and we are proud to bring you our most advanced development so far. Hopefully you all get as much use and enjoyment out of it as we have.
We are always open to new ideas and suggestions on how to improve the program. So feel free to send us your ideas through reddit or the comment page on our website. And the best part is we are giving the program away for free.
The instructions for the program are on our website under the download link. It doesn’t take too long to read but it certainly will help you with some terminology and how best to work the program. If you do come across any issues or bugs, feel free to message me and I will do my best to walk you through how to fix any problem.
A special thanks to u/SamassArump who unbeknownst to us, gauged interest in a program like this yesterday.
Note: There is a small, unimportant bug that we know about but have not found any solution to. When you close out of the program just click save before hitting the x in the top right. If you don’t it might prompt you for a password and then will crash. Don’t worry if you forget to do it, it still will save, it just crashes excel.
Edit: Just made a quick formatting edit.
