Back from a long break...the graphics look updated?

After being disappointed with 343 and how they've managed halo 5, I took a break to play better games. But like always, I'll get a good idea for a forge map and I come crawling back. I was playing multiplayer and it looked as if the armors were more pronounced, and the color seemed different. Am I missing something here, or did 343 upgrade the engine in an update?
