[NEWS] Politicians in the Northern Provinces Resist Change.

NEWS

After the Third EDSA Revolution, ousting the old regime and installing a young president for once, most politicians in the South has agreed to follow Manila once again, with the provinces in central Luzon and on the borders of the National Capital Region being the most loyal to the capital. The issue is, the more north you go, the more resistant they are to change. While the more "straight-forward" politicians have filed complaints and calls of impeachment against the new Interim President (All of which have been shot down by the Supreme Court), the corrupt politicians have withheld government taxes by claiming that the current government does not represent the "people;s" (read: their) interests. Interim President Magsaysay has lashed out against these politicians, calling them the reason why the Philippines is in the state it is right now. He called them cronies and "no better than Marcos". The Philippine Government has given the politicians two months to return the taxes to the central government and to turn themselves in for charges of graft and corruption. Failure to do so would have dire consequences, least of which is the escalation of the charges from corruption to high treason.
