Changelist + todo list so far for personal use (as I can't edit the spreadsheet yet)
As I can't edit the spreadsheet yet, I'll post the changes and todo list here for now. When I can access it, I'll add the changes there and remove this thread.
Changes so far:
-
Fixed issue with "my subreddits" in header. Added a 50px margin-left to #RESStaticShortcuts, so it doesn't overlap the "my subreddits" link.
-
Fixed some issues with the userbar at the right-top. Some top values were wrong, some margin values were wrong and some other small issues. All fixed now.
-
Changed the color of all the text in the sidebar. Don't know why, but had to change the color value in 2-3 places, but it's fixed.
-
Added a roster to the sidebar. I made the colors as they are in the mockup.
-
Changed the "Submit new link" and "Submit new text post" buttons. I personally like them better this way, but that's personal preference.
-
Fixed an issue with the expand button not showing up. For some reason it got the image from another div. Increased the size of it a big, added the Thunder logo and I think it looks good now.
-
Fixed an issue where the current subreddit title turned red in the subreddit bar.
To do:
-
Fix flair issue. This is best done on the actual page though, since on this sub the flairs aren't even setup yet. It will also take some looking into, as I've never seen such an issue before.
-
Add schedule. I'd like to have this as a button to click on, which then toggles the visibility of the schedule, to not increase the height of the sidebar too much.
-
General redesign of the subreddit theme. I personally don't really like it. I think (light)blue isn't a great dominant color for a webpage. I'd rather use the white of the Thunder colors as a dominant colour and use the blue and orange as accents, but not too heavily.
If I think of more stuff, I'll post them here.
Lastly I suggest asking the subreddit community itself for their opinion. In the end they are the endusers, so it only seems fair to ask for their input.
Let me know what you think.
