How to get out of going to a funeral ?

A few days ago my grandpa died , and his funeral is going to be sometime this week. I'd really rather not go. I have a fair amount of schoolwork upcoming so id rather not go (it's a 6 hr drive). ( I'm 17) What can I say to convince my parents to let me stay?
