Question about refs?

Was watching botchamania 296, and there where clips from NXT london of the refs telling the wrestler to "kick out." Drake younger can even be heard saying "please kick out."

Why would they need to say this? Should the talent not know to kick out or...? Like, unless they are calling for the end of a match and hit a finisher, why would talent need reminded to kick out?
