Running BF 2 at School

I want to play some BF 2 with friends at school. Is there a way that I can play LAN or Direct Connect without a dedicated server? I know about creating a shortcut and changing the IP, but that seems annoying having to change that for every different IP. Any replies would be greatly appriciated!!! :)
