Operation Wildfire Missions

So the first mission of OW (Fanning The Flames) requires you to deal 10 burn damage. I got a friend to go on the enemy team and we met up for me to throw my molotov at him and killed him. We went on to finish the match and it still says I haven't finish the mission. Please help.
