Potential first time Camaro owner. Need advice.

Hello! I'm interested in purchasing a 2000 Camaro SS with the 5.7 LS1 (80,000 on the odometer). I discovered the car at a local used car lot and I'm looking for some advice. Mostly I need some reassurance on whether buying this car would be a good decision. I had limited time scoping out the car this afternoon and am scheduled for a test drive tomorrow morning. From looking at the car it's obvious the previous owner put a lot of effort into maintenance and upgrades. It has a Hurst short throw kit and minor modifications to the engine (not sure of specifics but I'll know more tomorrow.)

*I am an 19 year old male for insurance purposes.

NOW, my questions are:

• Will this be "too much car" for me right now? (I currently own a Grand Cherokee)

• How is the overall handling with the 6 speed to a first time manual owner? (I'm comfortable with driving stick however I've never piloted something as beastly as this Camaro)

• What are some red flags with financing at a used dealership? (I'd prefer to pay the $6,400 in cash but i also want to examine every option.)

• T-Tops are leaking moderately. A small puddle is just chilling there on the passenger side rear floor. How difficult and expensive is the fix? (I understand this is a common problem with the T-Tops)

• How is regular maintenance? (I'm enrolled in an auto mechanics class and mostly wondering if maintenance will be a headache for someone who knows a bit more than the basics)

This is my first post on this sub so I'm hoping to get some feedback. Thanks everyone!
