Sometimes, it's just meant to be.
Hey r/ravens, Broncos fan here. This is a couple of weeks late, really, but I just wanted to say:
Now we Broncos fans know what it's like. To be under-appreciated, disrespected, discounted. To get snide remarks about how we weren't "supposed" to win. To have people tear their hair out, exclaiming, "They can't keep winning like this!" To have people weaving conspiracies about how our ultimate victory was fixed. And everything they all say, it just makes you love your team even more, for that lump of pride in your throat to ball up even tighter, for your heart to pump with a rare joy.
Don't get me wrong, I'll never be over what you guys did to us a few years ago. That was our year, dammit—and of course, I also know it wasn't, and was never meant to be. That was YOUR year. This was ours. I get it now.
Seasons hence when we're each clashing with the Patriots, the Colts, the Steelers, et al, and perhaps our teams will also face each other on the field, I will look over at the good folks in Ball So Hard University and give a knowing nod. Respect, Destiny-bros.
