Divorce from alcoholic spouse?

Hello. I (29f) am considering divorce from my (30m) husband. We've been married 5 years, together 10. He is an alcoholic. He was always a social drinker but it progressed and has gotten much worse in the past few years. He has lost several jobs, gotten DUIs, he doesn't have any friends anymore. His drinking has taken over his life. I have recently started attending AlAnon meetings online - I find it hard to attend in person because we have three young children. Anyway...I have gotten to the point where his drinking is negatively affecting me - my health, my job, my emotions, everything. I can't keep doing this. And he doesn't want to quit drinking so I have to make the change as much as I love him and I am sad about our failing marriage. I guess my question is, who has divorced an alcoholic spouse? How (I know that sounds ridiculous)? Can you tell me how it was after things were all said and done? Anything words of advice/tips/suggestions?
