[QUESTION] What is on this guitar?

I was gonna post this on r/whatisthisthing but figured y'all would know better. My mother and brother saw this guitar at a pawn shop: http://i.imgur.com/lG9UCgQ.jpg

There's like a single bridge/saddle piece for the low e just mounted back aways on the body. I'm not even sure what search terms to use so any help would be appreciated.
