30K(could go slightly more) reliable / safe vehicle with lots of driver assistant tech.

Hi all! I am looking to purchase my first brand new vehicle. I've always driven used vehicles that always seem to fall apart (Chevy Cavalier and older Nissan Altima). I want something that is reliable and has lots of safety features. I've moved to a large city where people drive crazy and I feel like having tech that helps with blind side monitoring, cross traffic monitoring, and other warning features. I am also looking for a slightly bigger car / cross over if possible. My current vehicle choices are a Mazda6, MazdaCX5, or a a Honda Civic. Any other suggestions?
