Anabel's Experiment

I spoke to her about Warnik, and she told me about the experiment. She found that once infected the virus is spread about your body through your blood, specifically something to do with the hemoglobin. The procedure replaces the hemoglobin in your body with magnetite, which has a very similar in it's makeup.

The magnetite somehow interferes with the virus's ability to spread, I wasn't able to understand why this happens, and to be honest i'm not even sure she knows herself.

Hemoglobin grabs oxygen and spreads it through your body, a key part of it is iron. So normal blood is red essentially because of rust. When magnetite bonds with oxygen it turns black, thus the black blood.

However, she said it doesn't make it "safe" to get bitten. When the virus is in your body your immune system reacts violently, and the resulting fever and other symptoms can still be lethal, but you won't be contagious and won't turn when killed. She also mentioned the process hurts a little, and can fuck with your mitochondria or some shit but that it shouldn't be too bad.

She said it's a dangerous world, especially since I have been traveling alone recently and said she'd be willing to do the procedure on me. I'm not sure, something about how she spoke about it seems off, and I don't know how I'd look with black lips and all...
