New Breed Problem

Hi I'm not sure if this is the place to post something like this but anyways, I recently bought a YOYOJAM New Breed and after the first few throws it has become sort of responsive. If i give it a good throw and tug a bit it comes up. This makes it impossible to do tricks such as plastic whip or iron whip. Any help? I though this was a completely unresponsive yoyo. If it isnt is there any way to make it unresponsive. I got it on sale for 25 on yoyoexpert.
