I had a reaction to some very strong antibiotics and I have a question about repiercing
So I was on this antibiotic for only about a week, but I realized that my nipple piercings were behaving really weird (this was the 2nd time I'd had them done and they were a year old so I had no idea what was going on). I was just babying them, keeping an eye on them. What really brought it to a head was when I got my tongue pierced shortly after finishing the meds and just had an awful reaction. At this point I had no idea it was the antibiotic, I actually didn't figure it out until months later. So I had to take the tongue ring out after only 4 days, the swelling was making it hard to breathe/swallow and I was worried about the bar embedding. It wasn't long afterward that I saw a very noticeable difference in my nipples, the skin between the holes was shrinking and it was thinning/peeling. I ended up taking those out as well, figuring that they were rejecting.
So now there is a noticeable "dent" in my nipples exactly where the bars would have been, like the tissue just under the skin is gone. I'm fairly certain that it wouldn't be a good idea to repierce them horizontally again, but I really miss them and was wondering about piercing them diagonally. I'd love to just go to a shop for a consult but the nearest trustworthy shops are at least over an hour away, and going just to hear it can't be done is huge waste of time. I can provide pictures if needed, but does anyone have some advice for me?
