Chip in exterior of enamel pot

Hello! I just bought a large enamel pot from Ross, got it home and realized there is a dime-sized chip along the bottom edge of the pot. Is it purely aesthetic or will the pot be compromised with heat? I googled and all I could find were results about chips on the interior... I really don't want to make another trip to Ross, considering I usually only pop in there about once a year, but don't want to keep it if it's gonna be a problem.
