Are there any Apartments in Walking Distance to UH Main Campus?

I'm a transfer student in my 2nd semester at UH, I'm looking for a one room apartment close to campus, but I have never really seen any apartments surrounding campus. Granted, I'm only familiar with the end of campus close to Cullen rd. I know one room apartments run at least $600/month, I had a friend who paid $400/month for her one bedroom apartment. If not one room apartments, are there three bedroom apartments and each roommate pays $300/month? Thanks for the help.
