20 Damage per hit only?

Hello,

i created a new char 2-3 hours ago and i had some trouble because i deal almost 0 dmg per hit. I bought the blades of mercy and I am at micolash now.. my normal hit deals around 14 damage against him.. hmm yes, i killed the one reborn with dealing 90 dmg with a full combo and full stamina depletion and it was hard but I do not want to suffer through micolash fight with this bad damage, my stats are: 24 vit, 14 sta, 12 stre, 17 skill, 15 arcane. any ideas guys? or what do i have to skill up to deal more dmg? and how is the resistance working in this game? the higher your level is the less is the resistance of enemies?
