Firestream was nerfed into the ground since my last playthrough. Useless now. Should it be redesigned and how?
Firestream used to be OP at launch (Alt IGNI). Now it does nothing in my NG+ (2nd playthrough). Normal igni does way more damage AND is safer to use range-wise.
I resppeced out of it just now, but Im thinking if it stays like this itll always be useless and the devs still have time / a few patches to rework it. Im thinking instead of the current design, if alt igni is going to be weak it should at least have a range advantage on the normal one. Perhaps a fireball to pull monsters without wasting bombs/bolts would be nice, it could be slow to cast like alt Ydren to avoid turning Geralt into a sorceress. Or keep the current firestream design but make it really long like Inferno from Diablo.
Or just buff it back to some middle ground between OP and useless.
Other thoughts on what to do with it?
