What's going on here?

About 10 years ago I found this image on the internet and set it as my desktop background. We were high schoolers searching for funny things like "fat Jesus" on Google. I've kept it as my background on every desktop I've had since then, even though I have no idea who these people are in the photo. I have so many questions:

• Are any of the people in this photo Redditors?
• Why is that guy's foot SO DIRTY?
• What are they playing?
• Why are they in a hotel room? What was this for?
• Was it a good time?
• Would they be willing to do an AMA about this moment in history?

Seriously, I'm going to keep this desktop background forever but I'd love to know more about this picture. Thanks!
