Replaces hdd with ssd now I get a red x. HELP!!

I replaced my battery with a slightly larger 580mah from owc then replaced the hdd with a MyDigitalSSD BP4e (which I read works in my iPod A1238 model), it's formatted to fat32 but now I get a red X in a circle. Any ideas on how to make this dude work?
