Riot's fascination with TL; why the converge?

Why is it that every single week I see an article on http://www.lolesports.com/en_US/ about TL... TL vs IMT is the game of the week? Dardoch has been player of the week multiple times? What is this? http://imgur.com/CR5R0DW A 5-6 team surging through NA lcs? Why is riot talking about this team so much? Where is C9? TSM?? CLG? Honestly Riot looks like they are being paid to talk about TL, and hype them up, but actually TL is mediocre and I doubt they will get high in the play offs... It really bothers me seeing this every time I go in client, or go on http://www.lolesports.com/en_US/ ....
