IWTL how to be good with computers, then IWTL how to program and understand cyber security.
I know programming is a huge market skill right now, and I'm really interested in encryption and information security, but I basically suck butts at computer stuff. Far from knowing any programming languages, I'm not even really sure how computers work, from a hardware or software standpoint. I can google error messages and stuff, but the most complicated computer thing I've ever done is a clean OS install. I think it's pretty fair to speculate that I can't learn how to hack or whatever until I know how computers work. So how do I do that? I was thinking about maybe taking the free A+ class on cybrary to get started? After that, where would I go from there? I've already got a graduate degree and a more than full-time job, so physically going to classes, much less taking an actual degree program, is likely out of the question.
